Abstract

Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro (1846-1905) nasceu em Lisboa, filho e discípulo do artista Manuel Maria Bordalo Pinheiro, irmão dos pintores Columbano e Maria Augusta. Fez seus estudos na Escola de Artes Dramáticas, na Academia de Belas Artes e no Curso Superior de Letras. Consagrou-se como jornalista, caricaturista e ceramista.
