Abstract
ln light of the negotiations of the Extradition Treaty, we have undertaken a study of the relations between His Majesty's Government and the Imperial Government, between 1868 and 1872. The purpose of this study is to reveal the twists and turns in the talks that led to the signature of the Treaty in 1872, the negotiators, the questions raised - basic and parallel, the objectives and the means to achieve them.
