Abstract

The almanacs have always published texts that were born from proverbs or fantasies, from the observation of daily life to the desire to laugh and make people laugh. This article discusses the role that reading has played, as well as the relationship between graphic and textual options, through some competing examples. In these examples, two imaginary characters (recognizable types from the lunar universe), the “Sarrabal Saloyo” and the Blind Astrologer, compete for the readers’ attention.
