Abstract

Based on some assumptions raised by Eduardo Prado Coelho (2004) and Isabel Allegro de Magalhães (2002), I intend to analyze Maria Isabel Barreno’s novel, Os outros legítimos superiores (1970), conceived and written throughout the 1960s, demonstrating how the Portuguese writer, in this period of intense innovations in the literary scene, sought other ways of creating fiction, inserting herself into the inventive path of this period.

Jorge Vicente Valentim, Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar) / FAPESP

É Professor Titular de Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa (Literatura Portuguesa e Literaturas Africanas de Língua Portuguesa) do Departamento de Letras e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos de Literatura da Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar). Bolsista BEP da FAPESP (2023/06790-3) e Bolsista Produtividade do CNPq. Foi Presidente da Associação Brasileira de Professores de Literatura Portuguesa (ABRAPLIP), na gestão 2022-2023.

É doutoranda do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos de Literatura da Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), desenvolvendo um projeto de pesquisa sobre as repre-sentações da violência na novíssima ficção portuguesa de autoria femi-nina (Ana Margarida de Carvalho, Carla Pais e Judite Canha Fernandes), com bolsa CAPES, sob a orientação do Prof. Dr. Jorge Vicente Valentim.
